The People Behind the Score

Coaching came first.
These are the coaches.

A SteerClub instructor is not a driving-school employee with a duster on the dashboard. Every coach is certified through a rigorous internal standard, trained on the Steer Score methodology, and held to the same standard we ask of you: capability, earned.

What makes a SteerClub instructor different?

A SteerClub instructor is personally trained and certified on the Steer Score methodology before they teach — not just a licensed driving instructor with a standard RTO curriculum.

Certification means: trained directly on the assessment rubric, evaluated in-vehicle by the founder, and re-assessed annually. Every session runs in a real, single-control car — we've deliberately moved away from dual controls because genuine confidence comes from being truly in command, not from a backup pedal.

Key takeaway: the standard test only checks whether a coach is licensed to teach. A SteerClub instructor is additionally certified on a specific methodology for building confidence, not just compliance.

Growing, city by city

Every SteerClub instructor is personally trained and certified by Yadvender before they teach — same methodology, same standard, no exceptions. As the team grows city by city, this page will introduce each of them here, by name, with a real bio.

Certified means: trained directly on the Steer Score methodology, evaluated in-vehicle by the founder, and re-assessed annually.

Instructor Certification

Coach the way it should be done.

We're building a network of certified instructors who believe driving is a skill worth teaching properly. If that's you, we want to talk.

Instructor & Safety Questions

What if I panic mid-lesson?

Tell your instructor and you stop — right there, no questions asked. We use real, single-control cars by design: a backup pedal would quietly take away the moment where you find out you can actually do this. Your instructor talks you through it and you're always the one in control. Panicking mid-lesson is common, not embarrassing, and it doesn't affect your score.

Is the car dual-control?

No — and that's deliberate. A dual-control car lets an instructor quietly take over, which means you never fully find out you can do it yourself. Every SteerClub vehicle used for lessons and assessments is a real, single-control car, so the confidence you build is genuinely yours. If you'd rather use your own car, we can arrange that too; we'll note it in your report either way.

Will I be alone with a stranger?

You'll be with one certified instructor, always identified by name and photo before your session, and every session is logged with time and location. If you'd feel more comfortable with a friend or family member in the back seat, that's always fine.

What if my score is low — does that mean I'm hopeless?

No. A low score means you're honest, not hopeless — most first-time scores land well below what people expect of themselves. It's a starting point, not a verdict, and it comes with a specific plan for what to work on next.

I haven't driven in years. Is that a problem?

It's the most common reason people come to us. Instructors are trained specifically for drivers returning after a long gap — the first session is paced around getting comfortable again, not testing you.

Can I bring someone with me, or ask questions before booking?

Yes to both. Message us on WhatsApp with any question before you book — no obligation — and you're welcome to have someone else present for your first session if that helps.

Can women learn driving safely in India?

Yes — SteerClub's programs and assessments are built around structured, supervised sessions in real, single-control cars with certified instructors, regardless of the driver's gender.

Is it safe for a woman to be alone with a male instructor?

You can request a friend or family member be present for any session. Every session is logged with time, location, and instructor name in advance.

Are there instructor safety checks?

Every SteerClub instructor is personally certified on the methodology before teaching, and session details are shared and logged in advance of every booking.

Do women get a different program than men?

No — programs are matched to your Steer Score and specific driving gaps, not your gender. The same 6-dimension assessment applies to everyone.

What if I've never driven alone before?

Confidence Foundation is built for exactly this — first solo driving in a low-traffic, supportive setting, 4 sessions over 8 hours.

Can I choose the time and location of my session?

Yes — you select your preferred date at booking, and your instructor confirms the exact time and pickup location via WhatsApp.

Is dual-control standard on every car?

No — we deliberately use real, single-control cars for every assessment and lesson. A dual-control backup pedal would quietly take over the moments where genuine confidence gets built, so your certified instructor guides you through it while you stay in full control of the car.

How do I know my information is kept private?

Your Steer Score is shared only with you and your instructor. It is never shared publicly without your consent.
