Who is SteerClub for?
SteerClub is for licensed drivers who don’t feel confident behind the wheel — first-time drivers, adults learning late, women drivers, senior citizens returning after years off the road, people with driving anxiety, and parents teaching teenagers.
It is not for people who want to learn to drive from zero to pass the RTO test — that’s a standard driving school. SteerClub starts after the license, closing the gap between “legally allowed to drive” and “genuinely capable of driving.”
Every year, India hands ten million people a license. It’s treated like an arrival — the photograph, the plastic card, the quiet relief of being done. Almost none of those people have actually been taught to drive.
The test asks for very little. Start the car. Move it forward without immediate catastrophe. Reverse between two poles, hold a hill without rolling back. Pass, and the state declares you ready for everything the road will ever ask of you.
It says nothing about the truck that cuts you off on a mountain pass at night. Nothing about the roundabout at peak hour, six lanes deciding your fate in three seconds. Nothing about the moment the rain starts, the light drops, and every instinct you assumed you had quietly goes missing.
So we learn the rest in fragments — a near-miss here, a blaring horn there, each lesson paid for the hard way. We become a country of licensed drivers who perform confidence for whoever is in the passenger seat, while quietly knowing we are not as capable as we should be.
That quiet knowing is the gap SteerClub was built to close. Not through fear. Not through statistics, campaigns, or one more lecture about seatbelts.
But because the day you become genuinely capable behind the wheel — the day your Steer Score reflects something you actually earned — is the day the road stops being something that happens to you and becomes something you command.
